Rihanna and Chris Brown release two songs (and world collectively gags)

Birthday cake: some people can't get enough of it. Personally, it just makes us sick. You know, like that queasy feeling we get every time we remember how Chris Brown was convicted for beating Rihanna until she was bleeding and unconscious, in a rental car – or whenever we hear that Brown and Rihanna have reunited.

That reunion goes beyond all the Tweets and tabloid rumours of late-night hook-ups, though, as Brown and RiRi are back to making beautiful music together. Well, pop music, anyway. And Monday, the two stars Tweeted links to new collabs. "Birthday Cake," an extended version of Rihanna's Talk That Talk track, came first, shared via Brown's Twitter. Moments later, Rihanna posted a link to her remix of Brown's "Turn Up the Music," adding a single word that should remove any doubt they're out to shock you, shock you, shock you:

""YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The "Birthday Cake" Tweet was removed shortly after surfacing, Idolator notes. Still, the song continues to float around the interwebs -- and is posted below -- all the better for you to hear Brown utter the verse: "Girl, I wanna f*ck you right now/ Been a long time, I been missing your body."

Friday, rumours began circulating that Brown and Rihanna had a musical collaboration in the works. RiRi production duo Da Internz told MTV News, for instance, that the "Birthday Cake" remix would include a guest that "would shock the world."

Still, Billboard reports that the pop stars were pressured to keep the songs to themselves -- which, clearly, they did not, instead Tweeting them after sharing with the following charming statements:

"They can say whatever, Ima do wahtever... No pain is forever <----- YUP! YOU KNOW THIS," wrote Rihanna.

As for Brown, he Tweeted this: "Let them be mad!!!!! We make music. Don't like it, don't listen! Turn up the music remix is coming soon too! Guess who's on it?"
